Event Review - 23 March 2011 Meet the Leader

When I attended futurefinest’s Meet the Leader event it turned out to be more than just a work commitment – it made up my mind that I had to be a part of this brilliant organisation.
I had been asked to attend the event on Wednesday 23rd March at Staffordshire University, on behalf of Plinkfizz, to support our client Emma Bridgewater during her talk and group discussions.
The event itself was a great opportunity for young and upcoming professionals to gain knowledge and direct learning from two renowned business leaders Emma Bridgewater, owner of Emma Bridgewater Pottery, and Simon Woodings, Senior Partner of Beswicks Solicitors.
It was hard not to find inspiration from two completely different types of motivational speakers; both had their own style and unique outlook on the business world that everyone surrounding the boardroom table could relate to an element of the discussion.
I found the most interesting element of the morning was the opportunity to ask advice or informal questions such as ‘Emma why did you decide to keep production based in Stoke?’
The relaxed atmosphere, friendly attendees and great knowledge gained from the event inspired me so much that I really wanted to become a part of futurefinest – so I did just that as soon as I got back to the office.
I’m looking forward to more opportunities to develop my knowledge of different business sectors and making the most of new learning experiences that I just never would have had access to. Thank you futurefinest and here’s to the next events…
